This is our first BIG EVENT of the season, and it’ll be a blast🥳! We’re very excited about this, and hope that you can attend! The weather should be wonderful, but even if it’s partly cloudy, or partly rainy/sad, the place we got has a roof over it, so we’ll BBQ 🍔🍗 no matter what. #UnstoppableBBQ #NonstopBBQ 😎☀️☀️☀️

The location we found available is Coral Shelter at Seahurst Park in Burien: https://www.burienwa.gov/residents/parks_recreation_cultural_services/facility_rentals/seahurst_park_picnic_shelters.
The shelter has running water, and the restroom facility is very nearby… So, it’s very convenient for people who use/need water and/or restrooms. 😂
There are two parking lots. The lower lot (closest to the shelter) is smaller than the upper lot. We’re planning on arriving early to get a nearby parking space, between 9-10 AM, to unload stuff. The upper lot is a short walk up the drive, but is significantly larger. The website says they have 180+ total parking spaces, and there is usually ample parking at Seahurst, but it may be a bit more competitive in the warmer months.
Because the shelter has 3 grills, the plan is to prep food in advance, and cook pretty much everything on-site, except for sides like potato salad, macaroni, and stuff like that.
Please RSVP as early as possible! (No need to RSVP here if you’ve already responded to the Google calendar invite.)
We’ll need to bring food (obviously), charcoal, BBQ utensils, plates, napkins, silverware, cutting boards, party hats, and any lawn-games that anyone wants to play – There are some great outdoor activities we should consider, like beanbag toss, mini-golf, lawn bowling, arguing, number-guessing, fetch, etc. 🤣.
